This demo app is based on a research project titled "Analyzing the Political Discourse: A Collaboration between humans and Artificial Intelligence", which was initiated in preparation for Greece's 2023 general elections. The study was co-designed, implemented and succesfully completed with the contribution of iMedD Lab.

The "Political Insights" demo app is focused on analyzing the political leaders' campaign speeches by employing AI and the help of human factor. Various aspects of political discourse analysis, including sentiment analysis, polarization, populism, topic detection and named entities recoginiton (NER), are just a few of the results presented in the current application.

Initially a large dataset of the political leaders' speeches is collected. Then an automated analysis of the data takes place, using OpenAI's ChatGPT, which is followed by a human validation of the results. Finally all the results are presented using insightful interactive visualizations. This "hybrid intelligence" methodology can be applied in any language.

In this app the first election period's speeches analysis are presented. This includes the speeches of the six parties that held seats in the Greek parliament during the most recent paliamentary term (at that time).
